What We Do Every Day To Help Children
We helped 13 million children in 2017, and with the support of people like you, we change the world for children through innovative work on the ground and campaigning for change on key issues.
We Beat Cancer
Our vision is to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Our new strategy will give us the foundations we need to tackle the challenges ahead.
Dedicated To The Fight Against Heart Disease
We are the UK’s number one heart charity and through 50 years of funding cutting edge research we have already made a big difference to people’s lives. Our new strategy will give us powerful focus in our fight for every heartbeat, and enable us to lead the fight against cardiovascular disease more effectively.
Issues We Work On
From women’s rights to water, earthquakes to education, we do life-changing, groundbreaking work in all sorts of areas. Here’s an introduction to the issues we work on.
Connecting Human Kindness With Human Crisis
We help anyone, anywhere in the UK and around the world, get the support they need if crisis strikes. From hiring a wheelchair or dealing with loneliness, to adjusting to life in a new country – we’re there when you need us. Find out about our work.
Abuse Changes Childhood, But So Can We
We’re standing up for children, demanding that laws change and action is taken to better protect them. Abuse robs children of their childhood. Without help, the scars of abuse can last a lifetime. And as devastating as it can be for the child, society pays a heavy price too.
Why WaterAid ?
We work with partners and influence decision makers to secure and protect the rights of marginalised and vulnerable people to safe, affordable water and sanitation services. We support local organizations and government authorities to design and demonstrate appropriate and sustainable water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) programmes.
Working Globally
We partner with local, regional and national partners, ministries, governments and non-governmental groups to distribute disease treatments, carry out operations and eye examinations, advocate for people with disabilities and strengthen local health systems.
A Unique Animal Welfare Charity
We’re proud to be the oldest welfare charity around. We were the first to introduce a law to protect animals and work hard to ensure that all animals can live free from pain and suffering. Through our campaigns we raise standards of care and awareness of issues.
We encourage all of our users to donate generously to their preferred charity.
Note: We confirm that we are not a part of any of the above-mentioned charities. We neither take any commission nor do they pay us anything to display their organisation’s name or link.
